Aunt Roberta passed away on May 9, 2008 of breast cancer. We were there at her side when she passed away, what a way to gain perspective on life. Her life was taken too early, and I'm going to miss her terribly. It's comforting that now she is free from the pain of having cancer for 15 years, but there's still a deep sense of loss. I'll be walking in the breast cancer 3 Day (60 mile) walk this November in Aunt Roberta's honor, more to come on that later. We miss you already.

Aunt Roberta, In Loving Memory
Aunt Roberta passed away on May 9, 2008 of breast cancer. We were there at her side when she passed away, what a way to gain perspective on life. Her life was taken too early, and I'm going to miss her terribly. It's comforting that now she is free from the pain of having cancer for 15 years, but there's still a deep sense of loss. This is a beautiful post Kelly. Thank you for sharing something so personal, it is very touching. Although I have only heard little tid bits about her, she sounds like a truly remarkable woman. You are lucky to have been so close with her. Can't wait to give you a big squeeze this week :)
