We tried to be cultured. . . .

Last Friday night Andrew and I went to see CATS, thinking we were going to have fun and go to the theatre. . . . . .. not quite the case. Why is this play so popular? There's no plot really, and at one point the actors jumped around on stage for 20 minutes, acting like they were acrobatic cats- WITH NO DIALOGUE. I think it was supposed to represent something, but we were both missing it!

So at intermission we stepped outside, and quietly walked away from the crowd of people talking about how fabulous it was. . . .and went to Extrodinary Desserts! We felt so rebellious. . . . and the berry cobbler we shared was DELISH! MUCH better than sitting through that 2nd Act!

Check me out with this RING on my finger!

Andrew's the KING of taking pictures of us when we're not ready, in hopes of gathering some more bad pictures. . .mostly of Becky

NOW we're ready!

Jim and Andrew, awwwwww, so cute!

Beca and Greg, thank you for letting us share your BIG day with you. It was a day filled with many memories, I don't think I'll ever hear "Piano Man" and not think of your wedding.
To many years of happiness! Love ya both!

Aunt Roberta, In Loving Memory

Aunt Roberta passed away on May 9, 2008 of breast cancer. We were there at her side when she passed away, what a way to gain perspective on life. Her life was taken too early, and I'm going to miss her terribly. It's comforting that now she is free from the pain of having cancer for 15 years, but there's still a deep sense of loss. I'll be walking in the breast cancer 3 Day (60 mile) walk this November in Aunt Roberta's honor, more to come on that later. We miss you already.

Weekend- O - FUN!!!!

Weekend-O-Fun kicked off with a fabulous picnic lunch in Balboa park with my Hubby. We went to Seisels deli (Andrew's favorite) and picked up some lunch, and then copped-a-squat underneath this GREAT TREE. . . . . .

The only problem with the tree was that everytime there was a slight breeze, thousands of little dead flowers would blow all over us- I thought it was hilarious, Andrew did not.

So we relocated to the fountain and met this kid, Shelby, who was PRECIOUS! She had a plumbers crack going the whole time she was in the water, it was awesome! After Balboa park we went to dinner at G-ma's because Uncle John was in town. It was fun to see the fam, and we all love it when Uncle John's in town because he plays the piano.

Then, on Sunday we went for Day #2 of Disneyland. IT WAS SO HOT, over 100 degrees. We still had a blast though!

We found the air conditioned events, like a Bug's Life . . . . even though Kristen was scared. . . .

. . . . .and the ferris wheel and the water playground that was mostly filled with small children, and Kristen and I. IT WAS TOO HOT! We had a blast, thanks Christopher for joining us even though you've got a fear of Kristen embarrassing you in public!

Beca's Vegas Bachelorette Fun!

Friday night was just the 4 of us, and we LIVED IT UP at the Palms!

Sexy!!!
Just don't look to closely at the room. . . . we were such SLOBS!
We had a great time, and I think we all left Vegas VERY glad that no one else looks like they'll be engaged for a while. It took us ALL a week to recover from the lack of sleep, dancing, girl chats and DRINKS! Thanks for the fun ladies, I love ya!

Andrew ran to be a delegate for the Democratic National Convention!

Andrew did such a great job on his speech, the whole room filled up with energy when he spoke. The moderator even made a comment after he was done speaking " Who says young people aren't involved in politics!" It was awesome. Andrew lost by only 6 votes, but now we know what we need to do for next time.

28th Birthday at Disneyland!

We couldnt help it. . . .
Splash Mountain was HER IDEA
The happiest place on earth. . . . .
SOOOOO COLD!!
Kristen said, act mad, it wasn't hard!

How fitting the Tweedle-dee and Tweedle Dumb (Kristen) were at the entrance waiting for us!

YES! Front row of Thunder Mountain RR

Easter with the Hollans in Vegas!

This Easter we met up with Sandi and Mark in Las Vegas! We had so much fun. They have been teasing me since I met them because I didn't know the difference between Star Trek and Star Wars, so they always said they were going to take me to the Star Trek "experience" at the Hilton in Las Vegas. Andrew compares Star Trek & his family to the Chargers and my family. I went, looked through the museum and rode the rides. It was fun, and now I can say that I've done it! We also went to art museums, saw a show, wandered around and ate some tasty dinners. It was a great trip!
